SERVING AND Connecting Players with THE Perimeter Community

Our plan is to invite all players to be a part of Perimeter Church’s services and offerings, such as, weekly worship service, special services like Christmas, Investigative Forum (IF), Taste of Perimeter, English language classes, etc. It is our desire that each regular player at PBC will know what Perimeter Church does and believe and how they can be a part of her community.

So, what’s the difference playing badminton at PBC vs other clubs? We play hard, we encourage and help each other improve, we fight for every point. But we have lots of fun and we applaud the excellent play and conduct of our players. We enjoy the excellent facility for the game of badminton at Perimeter Church and we value the friendship and relationship that develop from being a part of the club. Above all else, at PBC, we promote godliness – the reverence and the worship of the God of the Bible. It is our hope and prayer that outside of badminton, as you face life’s challenging problems and questions, you will avail yourself to the many services at Perimeter Church and to connect with Perimeter people who are more than willing to find the answers to your questions. So we encourage you to be a part of our Perimeter community. We welcome all of your suggestions as we plan on doing more activities beyond the game of badminton. Please visit www.perimeter.org for additional information on Perimeter Church.  t

Did You Know?

Perimeter

Badminton Club

Greetings, fellow badminton enthusiasts! Welcome to our first edition of PBC Newsletter. It is appropriate that we start this newsletter on our 10th PBC anniversary. We want to thank Ming Oei for coming up and birthing this newsletter. Thanks, Ming!

Time sure flies when we are having fun. Without realizing it, we are 10 years old and getting better with age…. From the humble beginning of 1 badminton court, tucked at the edge of Perimeter Church gym, we now have 4 courts in the center of the gym. From 1 night per week, we now have two nights each week to practice our skills, sweat out our calories and shout at one another …”Good shots!...watch your side!....Aduh!” From 8 regular players (can you guess who?) to 30+ regulars and 50 members now on our roster, representing 14 countries! Of course, we would not be able to do all these without Perimeter Church All American Recreation Ministry’s support and encouragement, specifically the personal leadership, interest and support of Jay Martin, Director of AAR Ministry. Thank you, Jay!

As we start the next decade of badminton at Perimeter, what’s our mission and plan? What’s different playing badminton at Perimeter vs other clubs?

I would like to take a few moments to share my thoughts on these questions via this first newsletter. Our mission has been from the beginning to play the game of badminton with a purpose. That purpose is to develop friendship through the game of badminton and to expose all players to Perimeter Church community and services.

à Each summer, Perimeter offers a summer camp for kids called Camp All-American.  It’s a summer camp where parents feel safe and kids are excited about playing and learning.  If you have kids, please check it out!  They welcome all people regardless of religious beliefs, gender, or ethnic background.
