Perimeter Badminton Club is an All-American Recreation Ministry of Perimeter Church in Duluth, Georgia, USA.  The club is formed to promote the sport of Badminton in the greater Atlanta area while seeking to fulfill the vision and mission of the Ministry.  The club was founded in 1996.

Our Mission  Touching lives where I am, day by day, through sport and play

Playing:
·  Enjoy the game.
·  Encourage teamwork.
·  Exhibit sportsmanlike conduct on and off of the court.
·  Enhance your skills through practice.
Purpose:
·  Serve God as His ambassadors to our friends.
·  Strengthen friendships.
·  Share the Good News.

Club Format

We welcome Perimeter Church members, friends, and family.  We currently have 4 courts available.  The courts are assigned to accommodate players ranging from intermediate to advanced players.

Our players come from different nationalities (China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, USA, Zambia, etc.) and different religious backgrounds.  The goal of the club is for every player to be able to exercise, have fun playing, and stay physically fit.  Most importantly, we want you to be spiritually fit.  We wish to fellowship together, exchanging not only badminton information but also issues facing our life.  Occasionally, we offer special programs designed to deal with life issues from Christian perspectives.  We would like to invite players to visit and participate in one of Perimeter Church activities including one of our weekend worship services.  Please check our Perimeter Church site for church events and Club News page for the latest club update and any upcoming club events.

Play Rules

  1. Upon arriving in the gym, each player must sign in on the sign in sheet.
  2. Play turns are on first come first serve basis. All levels of players are welcome.
  3. Players are encouraged to bring and use their own rackets and shuttlecocks (birdies).
  4. Each player should bring his/her own birdies to the court prior to starting the games.  The birdies from the “receiving” team will be used first. When all birdies are used and the game has not ended, new birdies should be supplied by any of the players involved in the game on a voluntary basis.
  5. The games are to be played using the 30-point game, with players changing side when either side reaches 15 points.  A match is won by the player(s) who reach 30 points.
  6. Courts permitting, players can choose to play single games.
  7. The players who come first should set up the poles and nets.  The players who leave last should take down the nets and poles, store them in the storage rooms and clean up the gym floor from used shuttlecocks and other trash.
  8. Players must show sportsmanship on and off the court. Cursing, fighting, and betting are not allowed.
  9. Players are encouraged to welcome newcomers and give them a chance to play. Advanced players are encouraged to play with intermediate and beginner players, and coach them as they see fit.
  10. No food or drinks are allowed in the gym at any time.
